Game On!

via Daily Prompt: Volume

Hello everyone. It’s my first post in a while. I wasn’t well the past few days. Today’s post is about a game I played with my sister today.

Before I talk about the game, in my previous post, I said that I love listening to music. In my regular life, I hear music for many different reasons. But recently, I realised how much music has affected my life. But, that’s a story for another post.

Some of my favourite artists at present are One Direction, Little Mix, Sia, Katy Perry, Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Taylor Swift and others.

One of my friends loves One Direction to death. She always used to talk about their songs and interviews. So, I knew about them, but I hadn’t heard any of their tracks. The first one I heard was Story Of My Life. I couldn’t get that song out of my head for weeks. For me, the thing that matters the most is the song’s lyrics. So, the song really spoke to me. In my free time, I also started watching their interviews, which turned out to be really funny.

I’ve also heard the solo music each of them have released. My favourite is ‘Sign Of The Times’ by Harry Styles. I watched an interview he did in France. They showed him a video of fan’s reaction to ‘Sign Of The Times’. It was hilarious. Well, this was the beginning of the path that led me to the game.

There was a girl in the video, who has a popular YouTube channel. Because of the interview video, I started getting recommendations of videos from her channel. There was one in which she and her friend were playing a game in which one person has to listen to music at a high volume, while the other person would read out phrases in a subtle voice and the first person has to repeat what the other person is saying. Here’s the video.

So, my sister and I took turns in playing the Whisper Challenge. I have to admit, it was’nt as easy as I thought. Thanks to me cranking up the volume to maximum and being so “good” at lip-reading, I kept on screaming nonsense. For some reason, I always thought she was saying “This is it!”. At the end of the game, my sister almost killed me. In my defence, she wasn’t a pro at it either.

Apart from this one, we played other games too. But this one stood out to me.

That’s all for today. I just want to say that if you find the content of this post inappropriate, please let me know, but in a gentle way.

Saying this, I go from here.
